Welcome to our website created to inform you about how to oppose the planning application by Biogen Power for an incineration plant at Twinwoods Business Park

Latest News – Appeal Refused

Following on from the decision granting development consent to Covanta Rookery South for their application for an energy from waste generating station located at Rookery South Pit, near Stewartby, the Secretary of State, Eric Pickles, has overturned the Inspector’s recommendation to approve the appeal. The full decision can be read in this document.

The appellant may still appeal to the High Court within 6 weeks of this decision but their arguments for doing so are now very weak.

Well done and thanks to all those who have contributed their time and energy to this project.

The Issue

Why Should You Object

  • Do you want 140 HGV movements a day through the village during its construction?
